Die „lachende“ Cora

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Die „lachende“ Cora is seeking her fortune - female dog, born around early 2022, SH about 50 cm, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, EU-Pass. - Still waiting in Romania - Mama Cora, who always seems to be smiling a little, was found in Romania near the intake station of our rescuer with her puppies Cody, Collin, and Claire (see also www.sos-strassentiere.de). Apparently, they were abandoned with good intentions – hoping someone would take care of the little family. Of course, someone did take care of them… Mama Cora and her little gang now live in the intake station. As expected, they are still a bit unsure. In the holding area, the family feels safe and shows itself rather openly. When they first went to the open field for a photoshoot, they were overwhelmed by this new situation, the many new smells and sounds, and hid themselves, exploring everything with the necessary caution. Within their familiar surroundings, they shed this insecurity, make contact with their caregivers, and are happy to be petted. Cora is a very social dog lady who gets along well with all other dogs. She lovingly cared for her offspring. If she has developed trust in humans, she is also very friendly and affectionate towards them. With strangers, Cora only needs some time to get to know her counterpart before she can reveal her friendly nature. For the "smiling" Cora, we wish a sensitive home with a garden. Also, a foster home would be great. Before travel arrangements, test for Babesiosis, Borreliosis, Ehrlichiosis, Anaplasmosis, Dirofilariosis, and leishmaniasis. Cora is still in Romania.

About Die „lachende“ Cora

What life with Die „lachende“ Cora looks like

Die „lachende“ Cora is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Die „lachende“ Cora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Die „lachende“ Cora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Die „lachende“ Cora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Die „lachende“ Cora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Die „lachende“ Cora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Die „lachende“ Cora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierfreunde im Fläming e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Die „lachende“ Cora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
