Diesel has been waiting at the shelter for a long time, hoping to find someone who will see in him not just an energetic dog, but above all, a loyal friend. He’s a dog who values human interaction more than anything else. He actively seeks it out, happily approaching people for petting and attention. Once he gets to know someone, he quickly reveals his true nature. Diesel is truly a “gentle giant among porcelain.” He’s incredibly energetic, strong, and still brimming with childlike joy. He leaps with excitement and has plenty of energy, so he needs an owner who’ll be consistent and help him learn calmer behaviors. This isn’t the dog for someone looking for a couch potato; Diesel needs movement, stimulation, and shared activities. In interactions with other dogs, he can be selective. He generally gets along well with most female dogs, but his relationships with male dogs can vary. He definitely wouldn’t thrive in a home with cats.
