Dilan1

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Dilan1 Mixed breed Brown/Black Male Neutered: age-appropriate before departure Age / Birth date: approx. 01.11.2024 Size / Weight: approx. 45-48 cm / approx. 16-20 kg Mediterranean tests: before departure, if older than 6 months Medical care (chipped, dewormed, vaccinated): yes Compatible with conspecifics: limited, compatible with females Compatible with cats: no Suitable for children: not yet known Character: compatible, playful, very active, nervous, affectionate Location: Spain (Huella de Jaén/Shelter) Adoption fee: €450 Requirements for adoption: If a garden is available, it must be sufficiently fenced for the dog; experience with dogs Please note that we only mediate to Germany. This also applies to foster homes! If you are interested in Dilan1, please fill out our self-disclosure form, otherwise we cannot answer your inquiry: Contact: This is our Dilan1, he currently lives in a kennel and we would like to get him out of there, so we will start looking for a forever home or a foster home from the beginning of September 2025. Would you like to take him in? Then we look forward to learning more about you in your self-disclosure. The male is a very active and playful dog, his caregivers lovingly call him a whirlwind. Unfortunately, he is not yet well socialized, but he is already working on it, unfortunately there is never enough time in the shelter, so training in a private home would probably be more productive. Dilan1 likes to run and play, but he also likes to be petted. He is not always compatible with males. Cats should also not live in his new home. He knows the collar, but most dog rules not yet, but he is smart enough to learn everything. Do you have a bed for our Dilan1? Here's the homepage:

About Dilan1

What life with Dilan1 looks like

Dilan1 is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dilan1, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dilan1?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dilan1 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dilan1 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dilan1 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dilan1 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dilan1 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
