About Dingo & Major
Dingo (tan smooth-haired) and Major (cream long-haired) are closely bonded brothers, they are incredibly friendly boys who love to be with their people and to say hello to everyone they meet out and about. They are typical cute and cheeky terriers. *Dingo is a tripod dog which means he has 3 legs, but this doesn’t stop him for a second!* Home wanted: Dingo and Major are looking for a fun home that appreciates the energy and fun factor of terriers. They would like access to their own secure garden for plenty of sniffing! They are housetrained, used to being left alone up to 4 hours (must be left together otherwise they will become stressed), and travel ok in the car. Behaviour towards people/children: They love being around people and are friendly with visitors/strangers/children. They have lived with children and could happily live with children that are used to lively dogs, and understand their needs. Other animals: Could not live with cats or small animals as would chase. Ok around other dogs, can get overexcited but all interactions are positive. Would like to be the only pets in the home. Additional needs (behavioural/extra support): Commitment to supporting them around dogs and meeting their needs both mentally and physically. During their time at Raystede, Dingo has had his rear right leg amputated, and Major had femoral head and neck excision (FHNE) surgery on his rear left leg. They have spent time in foster following their surgeries and are both recovering incredibly well. Staff can advise further on this for any interested potential adopters. Major's coat will need regular grooming and he is very good boy at the groomers.
