Diun

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

DIUN 💛 Arrived at the animal shelter in the beginning of June 2024. We can't figure out why such a handsome, cuddly, gentle, and puppy-eyed dog suddenly found himself alone on the street with no one looking for him??? Why wasn't he important enough for someone? 💔 We'll never understand. Is it because he's a bit large? Or because he's beautiful but not the type that any breed is? Meanwhile, Diun is a large, cuddly dog around 3 years old. He loves human contact. On walks, he's always in contact with his two-legged companion. And whenever there's a chance for muzzles or cuddles, you can be sure that Diun will take advantage of it. And basically, nothing bothers him: not cars, not bicycles, not passing dogs, not barking behind the fence, not trains, not runners, not strollers. NOTHING. Walkingly, he's the perfect dog. But the smile on his doggy face has unfortunately been replaced by sadness for some time now.

DIUN 💛 Trafił do schroniska z początkiem czerwca 2024. Czeka i czeka. I smutnieje coraz bardziej…

About Diun

What life with Diun looks like

Diun is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Diun, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Diun?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Diun on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Diun if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Diun already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Diun isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Diun and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
