Dodger

Female · Young · 1 year

**Available from 9th Oct 2026** Hi there, I am the super gorgeous girl Dodger and I came to YCR as a mummy with my babies. I have now finished my motherly duties and am looking for my furrever home. I am a very sweet girl that loves a little bit of fuss and attention but would rather it be on my own terms to begin with. It is unknown if I have met any cats, dogs or children so it maybe a little bit of a trail and a member of the team will give you more information with how to introduce us. However I would rather children over 12 and no female cats please. I would also love some outdoor access once I have settled. If you think you can give me the home that I need please click the 'Apply Here' button and fill out the application. I look forward to meeting you. xxx

About Dodger

What life with Dodger looks like

Dodger is a young adult cat waiting at Yorkshire Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dodger, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dodger?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Yorkshire Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dodger on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dodger if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Yorkshire Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dodger already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dodger isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Yorkshire Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dodger and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
