Dolly would thrive in a relaxed two person household where someone is around for most of the day, as she finds being left alone very difficult and struggles with separation anxiety. Older, sensible teenagers could be considered if they understand her need for a peaceful environment and have previous experience with dogs. She'll need some support with quieter walks, since she struggles seeing dogs when she's out and about. Her future family should also be prepared to support her with her current medical needs, including only having 1 eye, and understanding that although she is doing well, any future issues will be approached one step at a time. Dolly is a sweet five year old Dachshund looking for a calm, loving home where she can be someone's constant companion. Life with Dolly is all about enjoying the simple things together. She's loves nothing more than spending time with her favourite people, happily taking life at a gentle pace. Short, enjoyable walks suit her perfectly, making her an ideal match for someone who values companionship over long adventures. She's fully housetrained, settles beautifully in the car (usually snoozing the journey away) and in the evenings is content relaxing in her crate while still knowing her people are nearby. Dolly finds dogs a little overwhelming and isn't afraid to voice her opinion, and she's generally quite a chatty little character, typical of the breed!
