Dolly / Jolene

Chihuahua · Female · Young · 3 years

Meet Dolly & Jolene – A Very Special Pair Looking for Their Forever Home Sometimes, two dogs come along who are simply meant to stay together, and Dolly and Jolene are exactly that pair. Dolly is a beautiful 3-year-old Chihuahua, while Jolene is a gorgeous 8-year-old Chihuahua. We can’t be certain whether they are related, but what we do know is that they share an incredibly strong bond and are happiest when they are together. Because of this, Dolly and Jolene must be rehomed as a pair. These two little ladies are absolute lovers of comfort and companionship. They adore attention, cuddles and, of course, a good lap to curl up on! They have a particular love for soft furnishings and would happily spend their days snuggled up together on the sofa or sharing a cosy bed. In fact, they much prefer to share their bed than sleep apart. Despite their love of a cosy life, Dolly and Jolene also enjoy getting out and about. They love going for walks, taking their time to sniff and explore their surroundings, and having little adventures together. They can be left together for short periods of time, provided they have a comfortable and secure environment.Their ideal homeDolly and Jolene could potentially live with children, provided they are respectful and understand how to interact appropriately with dogs. With the right introductions and careful management, they may also be able to live alongside another cat or dog. Any introductions would need to be gradual and based on the individual animals involved. Most importantly, their new family will need to understand just how important they are to one another. They are a package deal and must find their forever home together. If you're looking for two adorable little companions who will happily share your sofa, your soft furnishings and your lap, Dolly and Jolene could be the perfect pair for you.Two little Chihuahuas. One very special bond. One forever home. Could you be the family they've been waiting for?

About Dolly / Jolene

What life with Dolly / Jolene looks like

Dolly / Jolene is a young adult chihuahua dog waiting at RSPCA Cornwall Branch in Saint Columb.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dolly / Jolene, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dolly / Jolene?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Cornwall Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dolly / Jolene on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dolly / Jolene if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Cornwall Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dolly / Jolene already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dolly / Jolene isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Cornwall Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dolly / Jolene and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
