Domino

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Domino and his two siblings were found abandoned on the street. Since August, Domino has been part of our animal shelter family, where he is growing up safe and cared for. Compared to his sister Nyra, Domino is naturally a bit calmer. We are still practicing walking him on a leash, and just like his siblings, he currently prefers playing with dogs over toys. We expect Domino to grow into a medium-sized dog, about 50 cm tall and 18-20 kg heavy. His breed is a mystery, which only adds to his charm - and makes him a very special companion. Domino travels vaccinated, dewormed, chipped and with an international pet passport from Bosnia. Domino - a gentle puppy looking for a forever home. Domino is ready to fill his future home with love, loyalty and gentle joy. Could this home be yours? Domino is not yet neutered. Currently, Domino lives in Tuzla/Bosnia. Thanks to kind people, they were just rescued - they were much too young to survive on their own. Like any young puppy, he is curious and eager to learn, but he approaches things a bit more calmly.

Aktuell lebt Domino in Tuzla/Bosnien. Dank freundlicher Menschen konnten sie gerade noch gerettet werden – sie waren viel zu jung, um allein zu überleben. Wie jeder junge Welpe ist er neugierig und lernbegierig, geht aber die Dinge etwas ruhiger an.

About Domino

What life with Domino looks like

Domino is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierhilfe Pfotentraum Chance auf Leben e.V. in Linden.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Domino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Domino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Pfotentraum Chance auf Leben e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Domino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Domino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Pfotentraum Chance auf Leben e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Domino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Domino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Pfotentraum Chance auf Leben e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Domino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
