Domino

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 5 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt Domino! Domino can stay forever! His story: Dominos story begins at a place where no one would look. He was found on the attic of an abandoned house with another kitten. Both were tiny, weak, and completely defenseless. Help came too late for one of the babies. Domino survived. Quiet, brave, and with an incredible will to live. From the start, he showed that a little fighter was inside him. Today, Domino is a happy, curious tomcat who wants to explore life. He loves people, seeks closeness, and enjoys attention. Playing, exploring, and observing are among his favorite activities. Despite his tough start, he has kept his openness and trust. Ash lives harmoniously with three other cats currently and shows a very social and balanced personality. He also gets along well with dogs. A free roam is not an option for him, as he feels most comfortable in a safe home. An enclosed (netted) balcony is required for cat safety. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Domino

What life with Domino looks like

Domino is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Domino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Domino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Domino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Domino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Domino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Domino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Domino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
