Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶

Female · Senior · 9 years

Dorit and Natalia are two very special Nymphicus hollandicus ladies and our two oldest Nymphicus hollandicus at the shelter. Both came to us for different reasons, but have found each other here and are now a small team. ❤️ For their twilight years, the two wish for a quiet, loving home where they can arrive together. Alternatively, they can also join a flock with other, rather older Nymphicus hollandicus in which they feel comfortable and enjoy their twilight years in company. Natalia has a small handicap: she unfortunately can no longer fly. Therefore, she needs a correspondingly adapted facility with many seating options, branches, ramps and climbing opportunities, so that she can move safely and as independently as possible. For the two, we wish for people who bring understanding for the needs of older birds and ideally already have experience with Nymphicus hollandicus. A quiet everyday life, a species-appropriate keeping and a loving handling are particularly important to us. Who gives our two seniors a beautiful home where they can spend their twilight years together? 🏡❤️

DE·Show original

About Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶

What life with Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶 looks like

Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶 is a senior bird waiting at Tierheim Düsseldorf in Düsseldorf.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

Paperwork, vet checks and transport rules differ by species and by country. Ask the shelter what is included and what you will need to arrange before you commit.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Düsseldorf handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶 if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a bird can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierheim Düsseldorf what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a bird comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierheim Düsseldorf directly what is included and what Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶 still needs.
What happens if Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶 isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Düsseldorf early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dorit und Natalia 💛🩶 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
