Adopt Drakula (Дракула)

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Dracula came to us already injured, but still in the treatment stage. People found him on the road - he was hit by a car. They took him themselves to the veterinary clinic. Dracula had a broken eye, a broken jaw and a broken leg. Unfortunately, due to unqualified help, the jaw began to rot, the leg did not heal. He was rotting alive, after a month of such torture, people began to understand that it should not be like this. They transferred him to another hospital. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save the jaw, the bone necrosis went on - part had to be amputated, and the muscles had to be cleaned. The leg was broken again, they set it correctly this time, because the first structure was installed incorrectly, the healing did not go well, bone tissue began to grow. This cat is a real horror, for half a year. People wanted to take him home, when the condition was stable, but he started to have seizures, they did a test for leukemia and immunodeficiency - then the hospital refused to keep him, due to the lack of a viral ward. Thus Dracula came to our cat hospital. Unfortunately, these diseases are incurable. There are periods of viral disease flare-ups, and each course of drugs has its consequences on the internal organs.

About Drakula (Дракула)

What life with Drakula (Дракула) looks like

Drakula (Дракула) is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Happy Paw Dnipro in Ukraine.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

Frequently asked

Adopting Drakula (Дракула), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Drakula (Дракула)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Dnipro handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Drakula (Дракула) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Drakula (Дракула) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Dnipro will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Drakula (Дракула) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Drakula (Дракула) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Dnipro early rather than rehoming privately; they know Drakula (Дракула) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
