And he's looking for his home. Approximately two-month-old kitten, affectionate, purring, but undernourished, infested with external and internal parasites, and especially with a broken hind leg in the femur. We have a visit from an orthopedist coming, and probably surgery, where the femur will be set. Well, we are not happy, we aren't. Drátek was brought to us two weeks ago from Tuchoraz with a broken femur. A man from Nučice brought him to the local vet, who found this two-month-old tomcat injured near his workshop. What happened next? A few days later, Drátek had a bit of a cold, we had to do blood tests to see if he was even fit for surgery, he didn't look the best. Blood count was fine, FIV/FeLV negative, there were several options (leave it, probably break again in a few months and fix it, or amputate the whole leg, or put him to sleep and not deal with it, or try to set the thin kitten bone). Following the recommendation of our lady vet, we agreed with the orthopedist and then off to the operating table. You can already see the result on the x-ray photo. Drátek is recovering beautifully, carefully following the rest regime, at the end of the week we go for a control x-ray, but everything looks on the right track. Yes, we chose perhaps the most expensive way, but the least painful for Drátek and with a great chance that he will jump over puddles with both legs again.

A hledá ten nej domov.Asi dvouměsíční kotě, mazlivé, vrnivé, ale podvyživené, prolezlé parazity vnějšími i vnitřními, a hlavně se zlomenou zadní nohou ve stehenní kosti Čeká nás návštěva ortopeda a nejspíš operace, kde se stehenní kost zdrátuje. No nemáme radost, nemáme..Drátka jsme si před dvěma týdny přivezli z Tuchorazi se zlomenou stehenní kostí. Na tamější veterinu ho přivezl pán z Nučic, který tohoto dvouměsíčního kocourka našel zraněného za svou dílnou. A co s ním bylo dál? Pár dní potom měl Drátek trochu fofr, museli jsme nechat udělat krevní testy, jestli je vůbec ve stavu na operaci, nevypadal nejlíp. Krevní obraz v pořádku, FIV/FeLV negativní, možností bylo potom několik (nechat to být, za pár měsíců nejspíš znovu lámat a napravovat, nebo celou nohu ufiknout, nebo ho úplně uspat a neřešit, nebo tu tenkou kotěcí kůstku zkusit zdrátovat). Dali jsme na doporučení naší paní veterinářky, dohodli se s ortopedem a pak šup s ním pod kudlu. Na fotce rentgenu už vidíte výsledek. Drátek se krásně zotavuje, svědomitě dodržuje klidový režim, koncem týdne jdeme na kontrolní rentgen, ale všechno vypadá na dobré cestě. Ano, vybrali jsme asi tu nejdražší cestu, ale pro Drátka nejméně bolestnou a s velkou šancí, že bude zase skákat přes kaluže oběma nohama.
