Dreamer

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 5 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Dreamer had great luck and was already traveling to his final destination. His story: Dreamer and his seven siblings are packed and waiting eagerly to travel from Romania to their new home. The little ones must not stay in the animal shelter and we wish them to learn early what it means to belong to a real family. Dreamer is about 5 months old and will grow into a slender, medium-sized male dog. The lively fellow with his pretty brown fur and black and white markings is an energetic and friendly puppy. Dreamer has proven to be very social and looks forward to many petting and play sessions. Now he dreams only of a family that will take him in and shower him with love! We wish for social male dogs people who will not have any expectations of Dreamer. Dreamer is still a baby and must learn everything in peace. With patience, sensitivity, and a positive reinforcing training style, the little one still has to learn the whole dog ABC. Just like his siblings, Dreamer still has puberty ahead. A time when puppies also have a bit of mischief on their minds and their hormones are on a rollercoaster. For this time, it is important to take Dreamer by the scruff of the neck with loving consistency and to accompany him. Dreamer would be very happy to attend a puppy or dog training class. After a positive assessment, he will be microchipped, dewormed, and equipped with an EU pet passport. Even a loving foster home would make him very happy. Has Dreamer managed to make your heart beat a little faster? We look forward to your inquiry! Many thanks to Sabrina! You have given Dreamer his name.

Vielen Dank an Sabrina! Du hast Dreamer seinen Namen geschenkt.

About Dreamer

What life with Dreamer looks like

Dreamer is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dreamer, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dreamer?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dreamer on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dreamer if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dreamer already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dreamer isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dreamer and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
