Adopt Dropcio

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 6 years

Dropcio is a dog whose life has not been easy. He is very shy and distrustful - he approaches people cautiously, with reserve, as if still not trusting that someone might want the best for him. But we believe that somewhere there is waiting for him the one, only home - filled with love, peace and patience. Dropcio doesn't need much - just a safe shelter and a caregiver who understands that a dog's trust is not gained in one day. He needs time, space and above all - a heart that is not scared by his fears, but will show him that the world can be a good place. We are looking for a person or family ready to work with a dog who has had difficult experiences. Someone who does not expect immediate gratitude or a wagging tail, but who can enjoy small progress - one more look, a bolder step, a peaceful sleep next to a human. If you have in you patience, empathy and you want to give Dropcia a new life - get in touch. Maybe it's you who will become his hero.

About Dropcio

What life with Dropcio looks like

Dropcio is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Tomaszów Mazowiecki in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dropcio, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dropcio?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Tomaszów Mazowiecki handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dropcio on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dropcio if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Tomaszów Mazowiecki will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dropcio already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dropcio isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Tomaszów Mazowiecki early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dropcio and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
