Adopt Dudus

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Around 5 years old (born around June 2, 2021) 42cm, neutered, cat-friendly! Still in the animal shelter in Poland Dudus – The charming heartbreaker with the giant ears is searching for his forever home 🐾 Dudus is a very special little dog. Although his previous life wasn't always fair to him and his former owner simply gave him up, he has maintained his sunny disposition. He is an incredibly lovable hund who now longs for nothing more than stability, peace, and a safe haven. The sweet guy loves to sleep in the bed at night, hop onto the lap, and – whenever the opportunity arises – sneak a tidbit from the table as a little gourmet. In the animal shelter, Dudus is social and shares his room politely with other dogs and even a cat. But deep in his heart, he has a big wish: he would love to be the only spoiled prince in the house, enjoying the undivided attention and all the love all for himself. Oh, and have we mentioned that he is the proud owner of the largest ears in the entire shelter? They give him an unmistakable, loyal look that simply can't be resisted! ❤️ Who would like to give this magical treasure the cozy dog bed and forever home he so deserves? Video June 26 Our dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed (exception: puppies), in possession of an EU Pass, and are legally transported into Switzerland with Traces (database system). The adoption fee includes transport, VAT, and registration with Amicus. Our association meets all the requirements of the veterinary office and has the trading and transport permits. come with permitted transport into Switzerland. About Dudus

What life with Dudus looks like

Dudus is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at home4dogs in Home4dogs.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dudus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dudus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. home4dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dudus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dudus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — home4dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dudus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dudus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with home4dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dudus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
