This is me, Dumbo... and I can't take it anymore at the shelter. I arrived here at the beginning of summer 2025, I was still a 6-month-old puppy found in Cagnes-sur-mer. I grew up behind bars, not understanding why I didn't also get to have a family. Today, I'm almost 1 year old (I'll be around 20 kilograms as an adult) and I spent my entire youth locked in a kennel. At first, I held on to hope... but now, I can't anymore. I pace all day, I hurt my paws from banging against the walls and licking them, I'm losing weight despite my double ration. The shelter is no longer a life for me. I am, however, a gentle dog, kind, affectionate, and okay with my doggy friends. I can also be tested with cats if needed. All I want is just a presence, walks, some education, and most of all, love. Please... don't let me spend another winter here. I dream of a home, a warm bed, and a kind gaze.

C’est moi, Dumbo… et je n’en peux plus du refuge Je suis arrivé ici début de l’été 2025, j’étais encore un chiot de 6 mois trouvé sur Cagnes-sur-mer. J’ai grandi derrière les barreaux, sans comprendre pourquoi je n’ai pas eu, moi aussi, le droit à une famille. Aujourd’hui, j’ai presque 1 an (je ferai une vingtaine de kilos à l’âge adulte) et j’ai passé toute ma jeunesse enfermé dans un box. Au début, je gardais espoir… mais maintenant, je n’y arrive plus. Je tourne en rond toute la journée, je me blesse les pattes à force de taper contre les murs et de me lécher, je maigris malgré ma double ration. Le refuge, ce n’est plus une vie pour moi. Je suis pourtant un gentil chien, doux, affectueux et ok avec mes copains chiens . Je peux aussi être testé avec les chats si besoin. Ce que je veux, c’est juste une présence, des balades, de l’éducation, et surtout de l’amour. S’il vous plaît… ne me laissez pas passer un hiver ici.
