Dżamal

Mixed Breed · Male

Dżamal is a young, medium-sized dog. He arrived at our shelter on December 31, 2024. He is not a well-groomed dog. His fur is matted in many places, and there are ugly tangles behind his ears. Dżamal and Dżamal are just getting to know each other, but they already know that they are a wonderful cuddle buddy, a friend to everyone, and a dog who craves contact with the whole world. The kennel staff had no trouble getting Dżamal used to the kennel, but with a certain uncertainty, and the leash, he probably had never seen before in his life. Walking on a leash is also quite foreign to him; he stumbled, walked like a snake, and tripped over his own feet. Dżamal is interested in everything happening around him: passing cars, people walking by, and especially other dogs. With all his might, he tries to get to know them and befriend them. Dżamal is a wonderful dog. A clumsy child eager to learn. We still have much to learn about each other, but we hope he won't stay with us for long.

PL·Show original

Dżamal to młodziutki, średniej wielkości pies. Trafił do schroniska 31 grudnia 2024 r. Dżamal to przecudowny pies. Rozbrykany dzieciak chętny do nauki. Będziemy się jeszcze poznawać, ale mamy nadzieję, że długo u nas nie zagości.

About Dżamal

What life with Dżamal looks like

Dżamal is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dżamal, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dżamal?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dżamal on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dżamal if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dżamal already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dżamal isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dżamal and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
