Adopt Dzidziuś

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 4 years

Dzidziuś - a large, very friendly dog, whose charm can work miracles. About 4 years old, weighing 50 kg and 65 cm tall - a specific guest who will command respect on the property. But in reality, he's a big child, who attracts attention with his childish behavior, gentleness, and touching gaze, making him extremely photogenic. He loves to run, play, and loves water, but everything in the right amount. Dzidziuś is very smart and obedient - he quickly learned basic commands and continues to learn. By nature, he is a very gentle creature, friendly towards people, which makes him an excellent companion for a family. He will surely become friends with everyone in the house. He is trusting, brave, and very open to new acquaintances. He happily meets new people and goes for walks with them. At first, of course... emotions take over - Dzidziuś needs to release loneliness in the kennel run, but it only takes a moment for him to relax and allow cuddles. In contact with other dogs, it varies, we are still checking. He spots every dog friend on a walk and then pulls strongly towards him. And he has strength, so it's no small feat to hold him back. He is approachable towards them, so he should rather be the only dog on the property. Dzidziuś will give his whole heart, he just needs the right guide. If there is someone ready to take on this challenge and give Dzidziuś a home full of love, there's no time to wait, just contact us, and we will provide all the necessary information. He is a miracle dog, please don't be intimidated by his posture, because this posture is his biggest asset. We invite you to the animal shelter.

A ma krzepę, więc nie lada wyczyn, by go utrzymać. Zapraszamy do schroniska.

About Dzidziuś

What life with Dzidziuś looks like

Dzidziuś is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Wesoly Kundelek in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dzidziuś, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dzidziuś?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wesoly Kundelek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dzidziuś on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dzidziuś if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wesoly Kundelek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dzidziuś already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dzidziuś isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wesoly Kundelek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dzidziuś and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
