adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! The currently still small Ebbie had to endure tough weeks despite her young age, as she was abandoned together with her three siblings and their mother. The winters in Romania are generally brutally cold, and the fact that there are people who still throw away dogs, even puppies, like trash breaks our heart. Miraculously, they were all saved – Ebbie is recovering from the hardships at a Romanian foster home and waiting for a safe forever home. At the moment, Ebbie is very shy and sensitive. New situations and unfamiliar people still scare her. We assume that the harsh first weeks of life have been very tough on her. Ebbie will need time and patience to slowly get used to normal dog life, step by step. The puppy ABC must be learned in peace, and it will succeed if Ebbie feels protected and cared for. Given that hereditary herding dog genes are likely dormant in her, Ebbie can only grow up in the countryside with a house and a large, beautiful garden. HSH-fellnasen were once bred to watch over or protect livestock herds, which means they display strong territorial behavior and require both mental and physical exertion. Clear rules and clear leadership are absolutely necessary. Ebbie should be rehomed only with experienced dog owners. Additionally, puberty will likely begin in a few weeks or months. During this hormonal transition phase, defiance or forgetfulness may occur. After the end of puberty, however, Ebbie will most likely be a loyal companion. Do you want to give Ebbie love and security? Her luggage is packed. She would naturally be overjoyed with a foster home. Many thanks, Martina. You gave Ebbie a beautiful name and thus a valuable identity. As of: 08.02. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Ebbie

What life with Ebbie looks like

Ebbie is a extra-large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ebbie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ebbie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ebbie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ebbie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ebbie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ebbie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ebbie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
