Adopt Eboni (w)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Some dogs are never forgotten. When we visited our partner association's animal shelter, ADOR, in Botoșani, Romania, in May, there were puppies everywhere. They played, barked, and wrestled. And right in the middle of it all sat a small black female dog, looking at us with her gentle eyes and simply hoping someone would take a few minutes for her. EBONI was born in December 2025 and will grow to be about 45 cm tall. Currently, she lives together with her brother in the puppy group. But her brother is likely to be allowed to travel soon – and EBONI will stay behind. She is something special. While her brother is more of the brave, adventurous type, EBONI shows herself as a delicate, calm, and incredibly clingy little female dog. Of course, she loves to play and, age-appropriately, still has a lot to discover. But already now, one can feel that she belongs to the gentle souls. She enjoys attention, loves cuddles, and seeks the proximity of people. And that is exactly why she touches our hearts. Unfortunately, black dogs in animal shelters often have the worst chances. If they are not discovered as puppies, they end up in the adult dog enclosures – and many of them spend their entire lives there without ever finding their own family. For EBONI, the right moment has come exactly now. She is no longer a tiny baby with nonsense in her head, but she is still young enough to explore the world with her family and learn everything a happy family dog needs to know. We are long back in Germany – but EBONI has stayed. In our thoughts and, most of all, in our hearts. Who will give this special little female dog the chance at a life full of love, security, and adventure? EBONI currently lives in the private animal shelter of the association ADOR in Botoșani, Romania. She is looking for a loving home. Born: December 2025 EBONI is currently travel arranged and vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and naturally in possession of an EU passport. Age-appropriately, she is not yet neutered. Some symptoms here are age-related.

———————————————

About Eboni (w)

What life with Eboni (w) looks like

Eboni (w) is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eboni (w), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eboni (w)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eboni (w) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eboni (w) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eboni (w) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eboni (w) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eboni (w) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
