Sh Echo and Barnaby need a quiet home together! A sweet pair of tuxedo kittens, brother and sister, around 5 months old. After a rough start, they’re still learning that humans can be trusted and will need time to settle at their own pace. Echo is the brave, inquisitive leader. She’s always first to check out a new toy or space, and loves following her favourite human around to supervise. Barnaby is quieter and more sensitive, and relies on his sister’s lead. He’s very food-motivated, and once he feels safe he rewards his people with astonishingly loud purrs. They are looking for a calm, quiet home without young children or high-energy pets, with patient adopters who understand shy cats. If you can offer Echo and Barnaby a home, please complete an application form and a member of the team will be in touch. Adoption fee and home check apply🐾

About ECHO & BARNABY

What life with ECHO & BARNABY looks like

ECHO & BARNABY is a kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Feline and Wildlife Rescue Nottingham in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting ECHO & BARNABY, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ECHO & BARNABY?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Feline and Wildlife Rescue Nottingham handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ECHO & BARNABY on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ECHO & BARNABY if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Feline and Wildlife Rescue Nottingham will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is ECHO & BARNABY already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ECHO & BARNABY isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Feline and Wildlife Rescue Nottingham early rather than rehoming privately; they know ECHO & BARNABY and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
