Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Animal Now! Adoption Requirements Adoption Process Request this Dog Now! Eddi has found his forever home! His Story: Eddi is just one year old, and if you’re looking for a young but relaxed dog in miniature size, then Eddi is the perfect match for you. Eddi was found together with his canine buddy Ameo on the outskirts of a village. We suspect that the two might even be brothers, as they look and behave very similarly. This young pup is a friendly little guy who loves being around people. He’s not shy around new people either; in fact, he seems eager to meet strangers. Despite his young age, Eddi is calm and not hyperactive. Generally, he’s highly adaptable and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. An existing first dog in the household would also not be a problem. Of course, even the friendly Eddi will need some time to settle in. Life in a household will be completely new for him—and so will everything that comes with it: leash training, housebreaking, learning to be left alone, and more. Eddi still has a lot to learn. We’re looking for people who are excited to grow alongside him and accompany him on his journey. If you’d like to attend a positive-reinforcement dog school with Eddi, he’ll certainly not refuse. For most dogs and people, especially at the beginning, this can be a wonderful opportunity to grow together as a team. Eddi travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. He comes with his EU pet passport and, after a positive pre-approval and upon payment of a protection fee of 500 euros, can move into his new home. I’d also not say no to a foster placement. Would you like to simply enjoy life together with Eddi? Then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Eddi and we sincerely thank you, dear Julka W.! Thanks to your sponsorship, Eddi will surely soon be able to start a new life. As of March 22, 2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 22.03.2026

About Eddi

What life with Eddi looks like

Eddi is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eddi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eddi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eddi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eddi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eddi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eddi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eddi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
