adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Eduard has found his home! His story: Wow! Eduard, where did you leave your face? Eduard is a real character. With his light, long fur and the black face, he is simply unmistakable. It's likely that the little guy is a Pekingese mix. The young mini-dog is charming and friendly. He is clingy and enjoys attention without being pushy. Pekingese in general are often sensitive and clingy little companions with a big heart. But they can also be little stubborn ones with their own will. They are wonderful little personalities. Eduard gets along well with other dogs and has no problem with cats. So he is an uncomplicated and friendly little guy. Up until now, Eduard has been confined to a garden life. Only when neighbors convinced the owner to give him up could he find a more suitable home. Accordingly, he is not yet familiar with life in a household and will have to learn what that means. We are therefore looking for people who have understanding and can give him the time to settle in. Eduard does not need people who run around with him for hours. He wishes for people who engage with him and show him how wonderful life can be when you live in a loving family. Have you already fallen in love with the charming guy with the invisible face? Then don't hesitate and contact us. Of course, a foster home for Eduard would also be a one-time opportunity! Eduard travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. With his EU pet passport, he is already on packed suitcases and waiting for you. Many thanks to dear Juliana for your namesake sponsorship. Thanks to you, the playful Eduard has an identity and thus the chance for a loving home for the first time. As of: 25.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Eduard hat sein Zuhause gefunden! Seine Geschichte: Huch! Eduard, wo hast du denn dein Gesicht gelassen? Stand: 25.03.2026

About Eduard

What life with Eduard looks like

Eduard is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eduard, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eduard?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eduard on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eduard if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eduard already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eduard isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eduard and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
