Edward und Bella

Male · Adult · 4 years

Born: unknown, born at least in 2022. Polyoma tested negative on 26.09.2025. Over: 🍀 Since our previous owners did not take good care of us, we were brought here by Jacob and are now looking for a new home. Charactertically, we are very loving towards each other, but people are a bit unfamiliar to us. We like to climb and often rearrange our aviary. For our new home, we wish for an aviary with an outdoor area or a bird room where we can live. It is very important that your neighbors know that we will also make noise from time to time. Do you think we would be a good fit? Then please send an email and include some information about yourselves and your housing conditions. It would be best to also send pictures.

Geboren: unbekannt, mindestens 2022 geboren.

About Edward und Bella

What life with Edward und Bella looks like

Edward und Bella is a small adult bird waiting at Tierheim Stuttgart in Stuttgart.

Birds are long-lived, social, and noisy. The species and individual history matter enormously — ex-companion parrots can carry strong attachments and trauma. Ask the shelter about their daily routine, diet, and whether they'd do best alone or with a flockmate.

Note from the shelter: Requires flight aviary with outdoor area or bird room; will be vocal - neighbors must be informed

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Edward und Bella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Edward und Bella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Stuttgart handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Edward und Bella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Edward und Bella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Stuttgart will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Edward und Bella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most birds on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Edward und Bella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Stuttgart early rather than rehoming privately; they know Edward und Bella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
