Adopt Cheis

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years

Since Cheis's dad fell ill, the poor pup has been passing from home to home. He's a wonderful dog, a bit shy at first but very affectionate once he warms up. During the photoshoot, he behaved admirably. At first, he was a bit scared, but by the end, he felt so comfortable that he just wanted to go to the photographer and give them kisses. Cheis only wants a family that loves and values him; he's tired of feeling like he doesn't belong anywhere. His previous dad couldn't continue caring for him because he fell seriously ill, but we're sure there must be a good person out there who wants to make this little angel very, very happy. Cheis needs URGENT foster care or ADOPTION. If you're interested in adopting Cheis, write to us (don't forget to include your phone number) or fill out the questionnaire that appears below this file.

About Cheis

What life with Cheis looks like

Cheis is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Adoptamics in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cheis, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cheis?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adoptamics handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cheis on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cheis if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adoptamics will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cheis already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cheis isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adoptamics early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cheis and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
