Hello folks, I'm Eike and I'm only here at our shelter because of a recent vacancy. If you're looking for a pretty uncomplicated dog, I might be the right one for you. If you explain the rules and enforce them, I'm very easy to handle, always nice to people, and I don't cause any problems at the vet either. Since I'm so relaxed, you can even leave me alone at home without me barking or destroying the place. Outside, I have very few demands and walk well on a leash. However, I can sometimes be a bit distracted and need regular attention, especially when encountering other dogs or wild animals. I don't particularly like other dogs, and my hunting drive is awakened by other animals. Therefore, in my new home, I would be happy to be the only four-legged friend. Health-wise, I'm generally in top condition, unfortunately, I suffer from chronic dermatitis as well as a mild food intolerance, which is why I only get monoprotein horse food at our shelter. Additionally, an internal testicle was found during my castration and was not located, so I'm technically only half-neutered. But: Nothing of this restricts me in my everyday life. Hallo Leute, ich bin Eike und bin nur aufgrund eines Sterbefalls hier im Tierheim gelandet. Wenn du einen ziemlich unkomplizierten Hund suchst, bin ich vielleicht der richtige für dich. Wenn man mir Regeln erklärt und sie auch durchsetzt, bin ich sehr leicht handelbar, immer nett zu Menschen, selbst beim Tierarzt mache ich gar keine Probleme. Da ich so entspannt bin, kannst du mich auch mal zuhause allein lassen, ohne dass ich belle oder die Einrichtung zerlege. Draußen habe ich recht wenig Ansprüche und laufe gut an der Leine. Manchmal bin ich allerdings etwas abgelenkt und brauche regelmäßige Ansprache. Vor allem dann, wenn wir anderen Hunden oder auch Wildtieren begegnen. Hunde mag ich nämlich nicht besonders und bei anderen Tieren erwacht meine jagdliche Motivation. In meinem neuen Zuhause bin ich daher auch gerne der einzige Vierbeiner. Gesundheitlich bin ich grundsätzlich topfit, leider aber an einer chronischen Dermatitis sowie einer leichten Futtermittelunverträglichkeit, weshalb ich hier im Tierheim nur Monoprotein-Futter mit Pferd bekomme. Außerdem wurde bei mir ein innenliegender Hoden festgestellt, der bei meiner Kastration nicht mehr gefunden wurde, weshalb ich genau genommen nur halb kastriert bin. Aber: Nichts davon schränkt mich im Alltag ein. Ich stehe also quasi schon in den Startlöchern für lange Spaziergänge im neuen Zuhause. Möchtest du noch mehr über mich erfahren?
