Background: Originally from Romania, she was found as a puppy together with her siblings and taken in there. Current location: Ejmy has been living at a foster home in Germany for a year and is now ready for a permanent home. There, she lives with other male and female dogs. Character: Ejmy is a wonderful mix of an active explorer and a true enjoyer. She loves cuddles more than anything and thoroughly enjoys being brushed extensively. Outdoors, she’s completely in her element—everything is carefully sniffed and explored. Ejmy is a digging master: digging holes is one of her favorite outdoor hobbies. She needs regular exercise and adventures but also knows how to appreciate quiet breaks. Experience: Ejmy is already familiar with life indoors, including common household items. She can already spend some time alone with other dogs and is comfortable riding in the car. Ejmy is also used to walking on a leash and explores her surroundings with great interest. Behavior: Ejmy displays quite pronounced hunting behavior when out and about. She’s always alert in forests and fields and should always be securely leashed, especially in areas where wildlife might be present. She alerts to visitors or people at the fence but is easily trainable in this behavior. With other dogs, Ejmy generally gets along well, though with female dogs, it depends on mutual sympathy. In unfamiliar environments, she tends to feel insecure and needs patient people who give her time to adjust. We’re looking for: Ejmy is seeking people who enjoy spending time outdoors in nature and can provide her with both physical and mental stimulation, for example through nosework activities. A garden where she can occasionally dig a “permitted” hole would be paradise for her. Preferably not around children or cats; however, a confident first dog would be ideal and could even help ease her adjustment period (preferably a male dog). • Gender: female • Breed: mixed breed (HSH possible) • Spay/neuter status: spayed • Fully vaccinated, treated against parasites, and microchipped • Tested negative for Mediterranean diseases • Location: 83052 Bruckmühl 📞 WhatsApp: .avia-image-container.av-3dmqz6s-33ec20a5f02f310dea53917861c1b346 img.avia_image{ .avia-image-container.av-3dmqz6s-33ec20a5f02f310dea53917861c1b346 .av-image-caption-overlay-center{

Dort wurde sie als Welpe gemeinsam mit ihren Geschwistern gefunden und aufgenommen. Aufenthaltsort : Ejmy lebt seit einem Jahr auf einer Pflegestelle in Deutschland und ist nun bereit für ein Für-immer-Zuhause. Dort lebt sie zusammen mit anderen Rüden und Hündinnen. Charakter : Ejmy ist eine tolle Mischung aus einer aktiven Entdeckerin und einer absoluten Genießerin. Sie liebt Streicheleinheiten über alles und genießt es sehr, ausgiebig gebürstet zu werden. Draußen ist sie voll in ihrem Element – alles wird genauestens abgeschnüffelt und erkundet. Ejmy ist eine Buddel-Meisterin: Löcher graben gehört zu ihren liebsten Hobbys im Freien. Sie braucht regelmäßige Bewegung und Abenteuer, weiß aber auch Ruhepausen zu schätzen. Erfahrungen : Ejmy kennt bereits das Leben im Haus inklusive der gängigen Alltagsgegenstände. Sie kann bereits einige Zeit gemeinsam mit anderen Hunden alleine bleiben und auch Autofahren ist kein Problem. Das Spazieren an der Leine kennt Ejmy ebenfalls und erkundet dabei interessiert die Umwelt. Verhalten : Ejmy zeigt unterwegs recht ausgeprägtes Jagdverhalten. Sie ist in Wald und Flur stets aufmerksam und sollte immer, speziell in Gebieten, in denen Wild zu vermuten ist, gut gesichert sein. Sie meldet Besuch oder Menschen am Zaun, ist aber gut in diesem Verhalten lenkbar. Mit anderen Hunden zeigt sich Ejmy generell verträglich, jedoch entscheidet bei Hündinnen die Sympathie. In fremden Umgebungen zeigt sie sich unsicher und braucht dann geduldige Menschen, die ihr Zeit zum Ankommen geben. Wir suchen : Ejmy sucht Menschen, die gerne draußen in der Natur unterwegs sind und sie sowohl körperlich als auch geistig auslasten, z. B. durch Nasenarbeit. Ein Garten, in dem sie vielleicht auch mal ein „erlaubtes“ Loch graben darf, wäre für sie das Paradies. Lieber nicht zu Kindern oder Katzen, ein souveräner Ersthund wäre jedoch möglich und könnte ggf. sogar die Eingewöhnung erleichtern (am besten ein Rüde). • Geschlecht: weiblich • Rasse: Mix (HSH möglich) • Kastrationsstatus: kastriert • Vollständig geimpft, gegen Parasiten behandelt & gechipt • Test auf Mittelmeerkrankheiten: negativ • Ort: 83052 Bruckmühl 📞 WhatsApp: .avia-image-container.av-3dmqz6s-33ec20a5f02f310dea53917861c1b346 img.avia_image{ .avia-image-container.av-3dmqz6s-33ec20a5f02f310dea53917861c1b346 .av-image-caption-overlay-center{

About Ejmy

What life with Ejmy looks like

Ejmy is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. in Großefehn.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ejmy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ejmy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ejmy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ejmy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ejmy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ejmy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ejmy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
