ELIDIA

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

If you want to change the fate of a defenseless creature and take care of a heart that most of all needs peace, tenderness and a sense of security - meet Elidia! This little girl was born in 2023, which means she is currently about 3 years old. Elidia is at a young, wonderful age - her whole adult life is still ahead of her. She weighs only 4.9 kg, representing a microscopic, pocket-sized format - it's literally a crumb that will fit on one lap and will easily find its quiet corner in every apartment! Elidia is an extremely fragile, delicate and sensitive dog. At the moment she is very scared, distrustful and intimidated by the world around her, but there is not a shred of aggression in her behavior - it's a quiet, defenseless creature that masks paralyzing fear with withdrawal. Elidia still can't walk on a leash - at the moment it's a complete novelty for her, which she will only learn alongside a considerate guide. The shelter box is an extremely difficult place for such a microscopic, frightened dog - Elidia urgently needs a warm home, peace and time to convince herself at her own pace that a human means love, not danger! Why does unique and tiny Elidia need you? Excellent relationship with other dogs: Elidia accepts other dogs wonderfully! In the company of a stable quadruped, she feels much more confident and safe, which is why the presence of a gentle resident dog in a new home will be a huge support for her in opening up to the world. Pocket-sized, microscopic format: Weighing only 4.9 kg, it's a filigree crumb - light, delicate and made for safe carrying on your hands and wrapping in a blanket. Pure potential of young age: At about 3 years old, with a patient and loving caregiver, she will quickly understand that she is safe, repaying with unlimited trust. We are looking for a very calm, safe and empathetic home for Elidia - people who are patient and will not put pressure on her and allow her to adapt step by step. Give her a safe haven, and this little girl will repay you with the most beautiful, lifelong devotion for life!

Dlaczego wyjątkowa i drobniutka Elidia potrzebuje właśnie Ciebie? Genialny stosunek do innych psów: Elidia wspaniale akceptuje inne psy! Kieszonkowy, mikroskopijny format: Ważąc zaledwie 4,9 kg, to filigranowa kruszynka – lekka, delikatna i stworzona do bezpiecznego noszenia na rękach i otulania kocykiem.

About ELIDIA

What life with ELIDIA looks like

ELIDIA is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting ELIDIA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ELIDIA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ELIDIA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ELIDIA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ELIDIA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ELIDIA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know ELIDIA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
