Adopt Elsa & Anna

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

💔 It breaks our heart 💔 Unfortunately, the winter fairy tale we had hoped for after our call on November 26 did not come true 😔 And even Elsa & Anna and Elsa & Anna seem to be wondering: why doesn't anyone want us? 😿 😿 Since August 2023, these two beautiful 1.5-year-old female cats have been in our care. In a foster home, they blossomed so beautifully that it should have become their home. But on December 22, 2024, they had to leave due to a family tragedy. Although a new foster home was found, for Elsa & Anna and Elsa & Anna, their world fell apart. They would love to show their own special person what wonderful cats they are ❤️ Initially shy, they need a calm household where they can take time to settle in and have a retreat. Once they gain trust, these girls are full of playful joy and zest for life, which they love to express during their free time outside. And of course, they enjoy cuddles in between! 😻 We wish for understanding people for our "Panthers" who are willing to win them over with patience. Then Elsa & Anna will show what a little imp she is, and Elsa & Anna will once again be the grand lady we love 🥰 Of course, the two are neutered and microchipped. For those who believe "Black is beautiful," please contact Bea:. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Elsa & Anna

What life with Elsa & Anna looks like

Elsa & Anna is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tiere in Not e.V. Heiligenhafen-Fehmarn in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Elsa & Anna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Elsa & Anna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiere in Not e.V. Heiligenhafen-Fehmarn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Elsa & Anna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Elsa & Anna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiere in Not e.V. Heiligenhafen-Fehmarn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Elsa & Anna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Elsa & Anna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiere in Not e.V. Heiligenhafen-Fehmarn early rather than rehoming privately; they know Elsa & Anna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
