adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Elvis has found a home! His story: Elvis and his colorful rattle pack on the hunt for the biggest happiness – a loving home! We are searching for warm-hearted people who can provide the enthusiasm, necessary calmness, and enough time for a little puppy Elvis, Manni, Yara, Loelia, Giulia, Kyra, Tessy, and Strudel: 8 siblings, who were left to fend for themselves. In these winter temperatures, it is a deadly sentence for small puppy children to live on the streets. Our animal welfare worker Stefan has now taken the entire pack into his care. There, they can forget their hunger and be safe. Nevertheless, these four-legged friends are missing a cozy home with their very own people who will give them a valued life and where they can feel like they belong forever. The puppy children are only about 3.5 months old and are currently about 25 cm tall; they will grow to be roughly medium-sized. Elvis is a gem with his pretty beige-flecked fluff. From the darker face, two button eyes with a lighter rim peek out, and through the white snout, he looks even more cheerful. What does Elvis do all day? Sleep, eat, and play with his beloved siblings in the small world of the foster home. He loves to be spoiled with cuddles from the foster parents. Little puppies like Elvis have not experienced much yet. Life in the house with its foreign sounds, family rules, and tidiness is a whole new world that Elvis must learn to understand. Walks and leash training, learning their own name, and welcoming new visitors who should be received kindly – there is so much that Elvis is completely unfamiliar with. Be very patient at the beginning and focus on giving Elvis the feeling of security. It will learn more easily and trust you faster if it does not feel under pressure. And when the four-legged friends have learned a lot, puberty will soon knock on the door and make things difficult. Stay as calm as possible and seek support from good dog trainers or dog schools that work with positive consequences and open the way to an intense and loving connection with your wardling. Elvis did not want to be a rescue dog. You can lay a whole new world at its feet and give it a dream home. Contact us if you are in love with Elvis. Elvis is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He was named by his godmother Lara, and we thank her for the identity that she gave him. As of: 25.01.

Was macht Elvis den ganzen Tag? Stand: 25.01.2025

About Elvis

What life with Elvis looks like

Elvis is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Elvis, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Elvis?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Elvis on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Elvis if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Elvis already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Elvis isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Elvis and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
