Adopt Enigma

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Ezekiel, Enigma, and Efraim come from another station where mostly street dogs are taken in. Therefore, we assume that Ezekiel, Enigma, and Efraim were also homeless for a time. Today, Ezekiel, Enigma, and Efraim are waiting in our partner shelter, Allatbarat in Hungary, for a new start in a happy dog life. All three are loving and friendly, currently still a bit insecure and shy in handling. With a little patience, they will surely bloom in a loving environment and develop into happy, lively, and adventure-seeking dogs that love life. Of course, Ezekiel, Enigma, and Efraim still need to learn a few things—ranging from everyday life and solid routines to dog ABC. They are friendly and social with other dogs. For Ezekiel, Enigma, and Efraim, we are looking for loving people who will support and challenge them, show them their new world, and accompany them step by step. People who will engage with them, raise them with love, and give them a varied and happy dog life. Ezekiel, Enigma, and Efraim do not have to be rehomed together. Ezekiel, Enigma und Efraim stammen aus einer anderen Station, in der überwiegend Hunde aufgenommen werden, die auf der Straße gefunden wurden. Daher gehen wir davon aus, dass auch Ezekiel, Enigma und Efraim eine Zeit lang heimatlos unterwegs waren. Heute warten Ezekiel, Enigma und Efraim in unserem Partnertierheim Allatbarat in Ungarn auf ihren Neustart in ein glückliches Hundeleben. Alle drei sind lieb und freundlich, im Umgang aktuell noch etwas unsicher und schüchtern. Mit etwas Geduld werden sie in einem liebevollen Umfeld ganz sicher bald aufblühen und sich zu fröhlichen, lebenslustigen und abenteuerbereiten Hunden entwickeln, die Freude am Leben haben. Natürlich müssen Ezekiel, Enigma und Efraim noch ein paar Dinge lernen – vom Alltag über feste Routinen bis hin zum Hunde-ABC. Mit anderen Hunden zeigen sie sich verträglich und sozial. Für Ezekiel, Enigma und Efraim suchen wir liebe Menschen, die sie fördern und fordern, ihnen ihre neue Welt zeigen und sie Schritt für Schritt begleiten. Menschen, die sich mit ihnen beschäftigen, sie liebevoll erziehen und ihnen ein abwechslungsreiches und glückliches Hundeleben schenken. Ezekiel, Enigma und Efraim müssen nicht zusamen vermittelt werden. RegularLabs.EmailProtector.unCloak("ep_de2e7b9a"); RegularLabs.EmailProtector.unCloak("ep_b53e7dc5");

About Enigma

What life with Enigma looks like

Enigma is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe Sauerland e.V. in Marsberg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Enigma, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Enigma?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe Sauerland e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Enigma on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Enigma if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe Sauerland e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Enigma already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Enigma isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe Sauerland e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Enigma and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
