adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Enni has found her forever home! Her story: Vuky and Enni – two charming, black sisters full of charisma! Unfortunately, there are only a few details about their past. Together with their mother, the two found their way to us and currently live in the shelter in Bistrita. It should be clear to everyone that such an environment is not the ideal place for little puppies. We hope, therefore, that the two will find their own, loving forever homes very soon. Vuky and Enni can be easily recognized by their paws: Vuky has small, white-tipped paws. But Enni can also score with a small white spot and beautiful round eyes. At three months old, the two weighed just over 4 kg, so we assume that when fully grown, they will be either small to medium in size – their mother is also of rather delicate build. Enni is always friendly, open, and playful towards people. As a true puppy, she loves to play, wrestle, and explore the world. She gets along well with other dogs and is always open. We have not yet tested her behavior towards cats. Thanks to her charming nature and her manageable size, we are convinced that Enni would make a great companion for many families. She looks forward to sharing many adventures with her new family. Her new family should also be aware that Enni has not yet experienced life in a loving family. She still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and is about to go through puberty. She needs people who can approach her with love and patience, and may need to attend some positive dog training classes to help her through. Leash walking, house training, and being left alone are still foreign concepts to her. During puberty, she will likely test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things she has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Enni will definitely make a great lifelong companion. Enni is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive assessment. Who will give Enni a loving forever home? Many thanks to Sarah! You named Enni. Date: 14.04.

Vielen Dank an Sarah! Du hast Enni Ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 14.04.2025

About Enni

What life with Enni looks like

Enni is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Enni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Enni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Enni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Enni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Enni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Enni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Enni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
