Adopt Eros – unser Sorgenkind

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Unfortunately, there are always unreliable providers who want to earn money through deceit. That's why it's important to carefully check the animal listing and the seller. Here are some signs that should make you suspicious: Further useful information for a safe purchase, Eros, a beautiful male dog, is our biggest concern. Due to his size, Eros needs time to get to know strangers, and in our view, a prior in-person meeting is essential. We are aware that Eros is like a needle in a haystack, but we don't give up hope that the right place for him will be found. His future owners must have experience with insecure dogs, and his future home should meet the requirements of a house guard dog (highly fenced, large property). Eros does not get along with other male dogs, but he has no problems with female dogs. We do not know what happened to Eros before his arrival at Cornelias small animal shelter and what circumstances have shaped him so. What we can say, however, is that the handsome male dog meets his trusted people with great love and affection, he just needs time to build trust. If you are not deterred by these special circumstances, we would be very happy if you visited Eros in Sicily. Interested parties for him, and of course for all the other dogs, are welcome with Cornelia.

About Eros – unser Sorgenkind

What life with Eros – unser Sorgenkind looks like

Eros – unser Sorgenkind is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Petsearch.ch in Zurich.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: May have behavioral or medical concerns requiring special attention

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eros – unser Sorgenkind, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eros – unser Sorgenkind?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Petsearch.ch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eros – unser Sorgenkind on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eros – unser Sorgenkind if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Petsearch.ch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eros – unser Sorgenkind already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eros – unser Sorgenkind isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Petsearch.ch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eros – unser Sorgenkind and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
