Eskel

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Eskel is a small dog that may appear larger than he is at first glance, but actually weighs just over 10 kg. He approaches strangers with a slight reserve - he needs time to get used to a new person and feel safe with them. However, once you give him some time, he shows that he is a very nice dog. Eskel is rather gentle and non-confrontational, and we have not observed any problems with other dogs. Born around 2024, he is still young and full of energy, but at the same time he can be calm and quiet. He is not the type of dog that needs to be the center of attention - he rather observes, learns and slowly finds his way in a new situation. From our observations, Eskel is an easy-to-train dog, nice, willing to cooperate, gentle and ready to adapt to his owner. We believe that in the right home he will quickly flourish and show even more of his charm. He needs above all a calm, patient person who will allow him to build trust at his own pace. Eskel has been in the shelter since the beginning of September 2026.

About Eskel

What life with Eskel looks like

Eskel is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Słupsku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eskel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eskel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Słupsku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eskel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eskel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Słupsku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eskel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eskel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Słupsku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eskel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
