Adopt Etoile

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten

About Adoption Lost/Found Help Us Contact > This sweet and discreet little cat grew up in a cramped and overcrowded household of cats, in conditions where hygiene was far from ideal… Surrounded by other cats she couldn’t escape, she also suffered the consequences of overcrowding and the LACK OF spaying/neutering too early 😅 The vicious cycle for cats bred excessively, victims of the relentless assaults by males year after year! A hell… The precariousness, lack of care, and inadequate nutrition… a situation all too common in our current society and one that animals often become collateral victims of Oh! Behind her reserve lies a sensitive little soul who appreciates tenderness and just wants to discover the stability and protection of a caring home 🥰 However, due to her sad past experience, we notice that the presence of the many cats at the shelter is unpleasant to her; it’s understandable 😏! Therefore, adoption should be solo or at most with a peaceful and unique feline companion! The shelter is the first step towards her new life 🌈, we are just a transition towards a better future!

About Etoile

What life with Etoile looks like

Etoile is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at L'Arche de Noé ASBL - SPA Maisières in Mons.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting Etoile, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Etoile?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. L'Arche de Noé ASBL - SPA Maisières handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Etoile on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Etoile if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — L'Arche de Noé ASBL - SPA Maisières will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Etoile already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Etoile isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with L'Arche de Noé ASBL - SPA Maisières early rather than rehoming privately; they know Etoile and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
