Eul-Erich arrived at our shelter as a very small, dirty stray in poor condition. Tiny, fluffy, matted, with patches of missing fur and undernourished... overall not a pretty sight. He looked like a young owl. That's how he got his name, a little male owl, a "Eulerich". The poor guy had a hard time from the beginning. Unfortunately, the unfortunate mix of his breeds is to blame for his initial bad condition. Being a ram is already difficult enough. With his floppy ears, he will have plenty of problems. To make things worse, he is also a long-haired breed, like a teddy rabbit. Eul-Erich must honestly be described as a factory-bred animal, and we would like to clearly point out that this animal will have to struggle with its breed characteristics all his life. Regarding his ears, one must be aware of the problems of ram rabbits, regular check-ups at least once a year are necessary. His fur requires special care, it must be combed several times a week and it is best to keep the fur short. Otherwise, it tends to mat, and everything possible gets stuck in his fur, as well as soiling and litter, which is simply unhygienic for the little guy. Unfortunately, he hates being brushed and shaved. It's too annoying for him, he gets frustrated quickly and then responds with nibbling. We managed to shave him to a good length, which makes combing easier and Eul-Erich doesn't have to endure the procedure for long. This level of care must be taken into account. In summer, we would recommend an even shorter haircut, as it would otherwise get too warm. Pure outdoor housing is not recommended due to the fur, as it could get too dirty. Nevertheless, he is a young, playful bunny who has lots of mischief in his head and likes to be the boss in his group. He marks a lot and seems dominant. He hasn't met any female bunnies yet in our shelter. However, he gets along very well with Marille. He is a funny companion, with whom you will have a lot of fun and joy at home, and you will laugh at some of his actions. Despite his problems, Eul-Erich also deserves a nice home where he is loved, cared for, and well looked after. Eul-Erich kam als ganz kleiner, verdreckter Findling in schlechtem Pflegezustand bei uns an. Winzig klein, zerzaust, verfilzt, teilweise fehlendes Fell, unterernährt…alles in allem kein schöner Anblick. Er sah aus, wie ein Eulen-Jungtier. So kam er zu seinem Namen, eine kleine männliche Eule, ein „Eulerich“. Der arme Kerl hatte es von Anfang an schwer. An seinem anfangs schlechten Zustand ist leider auch der unglücklich gewählte Mix seiner Rassen schuld. Sein Fell benötigt besondere Pflege, er muss mehrmals wöchentlich gekämmt werden und am besten sollte das Fell kurz gehalten werden. Er neigt sonst zu Verfilzungen, zudem verfängt sich alles mögliche an Dreck und Einstreu in seinem Fell. Reine Außenhaltung wäre aufgrund des Fells nicht zu empfehlen, da es hier zu sehr verschmutzen könnte. Nichtsdestotrotz ist er ein junger, verspielter Kaninchenmann, der noch viel Unsinn im Kopf hat und gerne der Chef in seiner Gruppe wäre. Er ist ein witziger Geselle, mit dem man Zuhause viel Freude und Spaß haben wird und über manche seiner Aktionen lachen wird.Trotz seiner Probleme, die er mitbringt, hat auch Eul-Erich ein schönes Zuhause verdient, in dem er geliebt, gepflegt und gut versorgt wird.
