Eva

Mixed Breed · Female

Eva is a young Powermaus who came to us as a found dog and was not reported missing... presumably she became too much for her humans... Eva is a real treasure. She approaches all people openly and is very happy about attention. She is very energetic, has a lot of energy and is generally very dynamic. The young female dog is clever, knows what she wants and is very assertive. Fence in the way? No problem, we'll bite through it. Eva also really likes other dogs. She likes to play, can be a good dog and also shows herself in the dog group as cheeky, wild and carefree. We are looking for a sporty home for Eva. Her humans should be willing to do a lot with her and also teach her a few things about living together like frustration tolerance. Her strong interest in movement stimuli must be directed into the right channels. Active people will find a safe and cheerful companion for all occasions with Eva! Do you think you are the right person for Eva or would you like to get to know her better? Then contact the shelter.

About Eva

What life with Eva looks like

Eva is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein für Tirol in Innsbruck.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein für Tirol handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein für Tirol will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein für Tirol early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
