Eva

Female · Young · 2 years

Eva, spayed puppy, 2,5 years, 47 cm tall and weighs 15 kg, foreign country. Background. Eva was rescued together with her sister Elena (also on this site) from a bad animal shelter where dogs never get a second chance. Since then, they have been taken in by a private shelter. Eva and Elena are a cute twin who both (together or separately) are looking for a nice family where they can stay forever. Eva was born in July 2023. She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She weighs 15 kg. Character. Eva is an energetic, playful dog. She likes to play with her sister and the other dogs in the shelter. She is a bit submissive towards other dogs. Cats excite her, but she could potentially live in a house with cats. She still needs to learn more to become a real house dog. For example, walking on a leash is still something she needs to work on, but she is very smart and eager to learn. We are looking for an active family with dog experience that has time and space to lovingly guide Eva. Hiking boots are essential. With the right guidance, Eva will be able to grow even further into a wonderful, loyal friend for life.

NL·Show original

Eva, gesteriliseerd teefje, 2,5 jaar, 47 cm hoog en weegt 15 kg, buitenland. Achtergrond. Eva is geboren in juli 2023. Ze is volledig gevaccineerd, gechipt en gesteriliseerd. Ze weegt 15 kg. Karakter.

About Eva

What life with Eva looks like

Eva is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Stichting AAI in Amsterdam.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting AAI handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting AAI will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting AAI early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
