Adopt Evarista en adopción Colmenar

European Shorthair · Female · 5 years

Adoption History: Evarista fell into the trap cage with her mom in a town where we used the CES method. As she was a puppy, we decided not to release her and instead find her a foster home. She did quite well there, started to let people pick her up, and enjoyed being petted more and more. But she got sick and we've had to medicate her for months until she recovered. Catching her to give her her medicine wasn't very pleasant for her, and Evarista has picked up a bit of a fear. She needs to relearn that humans are not a threat. The best way to understand this is to find a home that respects her as she is, allows her to progress at her own pace, and will care for her forever. Once she's a little less upset and wants to come out of her hiding spot, we'll take new photos. -40 .gallery-item { border: 2px solid ; -40 .gallery-caption { /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.

-50 .gallery-item { border: 2px solid ; -50 .gallery-caption { /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

About Evarista en adopción Colmenar

What life with Evarista en adopción Colmenar looks like

Evarista en adopción Colmenar is a medium-sized adult european shorthair cat waiting at FAPAM in Malaga.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Note from the shelter: Recently recovered from illness, fearful due to medical treatment, needs patient rehabilitation

Frequently asked

Adopting Evarista en adopción Colmenar, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Evarista en adopción Colmenar?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. FAPAM handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Evarista en adopción Colmenar on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Evarista en adopción Colmenar if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — FAPAM will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Evarista en adopción Colmenar already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Evarista en adopción Colmenar isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with FAPAM early rather than rehoming privately; they know Evarista en adopción Colmenar and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
