Expecto Patronum &#8211

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Lucius was born around March 1, 2026, has received two vaccinations, and—due to his age—is not yet neutered. He lives together with his brother Rubius and is intended to be rehomed alongside him in the future. Lucius is familiar with both cats and dogs. He approaches people with interest but remains cautious at first and prefers to keep his distance. If a situation becomes too unsettling for him, he’ll retreat and is more likely to flee than to engage in contact. However, he’s not a cat who tends to hide permanently—given patience and calmness, he’ll gradually become more open and sociable. Together with his brother, Lucius displays playful behavior, intelligence, and high energy. He particularly enjoys playing with balls and marble runs, but he’s also enthusiastic about many other types of toys. Thanks to training with chew sticks, both cats have already made good progress in getting used to transport boxes. After an appropriate adjustment period, a home with eventual outdoor access would be perfectly suitable for Lucius as well.

DE·Show original

About Expecto Patronum &#8211

What life with Expecto Patronum &#8211 looks like

Expecto Patronum &#8211 is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. in Gangelt.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Expecto Patronum &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Expecto Patronum &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Expecto Patronum &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Expecto Patronum &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Expecto Patronum &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Expecto Patronum &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenrettung Gangelt e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Expecto Patronum &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
