Seit April lebt unsere Eyla auf ihrer Pflegestelle in 56759 Laubach in der Eifel. Dort hat sie bereits eine unglaubliche Entwicklung gemacht. Als Eyla ankam, war sie eine kleine, völlig verunsicherte Hündin. Sie verkroch sich am liebsten in ihrem Schneckenhaus, hatte Angst vor allem und jedem und traute sich kaum, den Garten zu betreten. An Spaziergänge oder Kontakt zu fremden Menschen war fast nicht zu denken. Doch mit viel Geduld, Liebe und ohne Druck taute Eyla Tag für Tag ein kleines Stück mehr auf. Sie begann, die Welt zu entdecken und Vertrauen zu fassen. Heute ist sie ein vollwertiges Mitglied des Rudels. Sie liebt ihre Spaziergänge, orientiert sich dabei wunderbar an den anderen Hunden und wird jeden Tag mutiger. Inzwischen nimmt sie sogar von fremden Menschen Leckerlis an – ein riesiger Fortschritt für die einst so ängstliche Maus. Fremde Menschen sind für Eyla dennoch weiterhin ein Thema, sie ist immer noch eher scheu und umweltunsicher. Deshalb wünschen wir uns für sie geduldige Hundemenschen, die ihr die Zeit geben, die sie braucht, um anzukommen. Menschen, die verstehen, dass Vertrauen nicht auf Knopfdruck entsteht. Idealerweise kommen ihre zukünftigen Menschen sie mehrfach auf ihrer Pflegestelle besuchen, damit Eyla sie in ihrem Tempo kennenlernen kann. Hat sie erst einmal Vertrauen gefasst, zeigt Eyla ihr wahres Wesen: Sie ist eine supergoldige, witzige Maus, die es durchaus faustdick hinter den Ohren haben kann. Sie bringt ihre Menschen zum Schmunzeln, genießt das gemeinsame Leben und zeigt jeden Tag ein bisschen mehr, was für ein toller Hund in ihr steckt. Jahrelang saß Eyla im rumänischen Shelter ohne auch nur eine einzige Anfrage. Während so viele andere Hunde ausreisen durften, wartete sie Tag für Tag vergeblich auf ihre Chance. Dabei hat gerade sie es so sehr verdient, endlich einmal Glück im Leben zu haben. Sie hat den ersten großen Schritt bereits geschafft und bewiesen, wie viel Potenzial in ihr steckt. Jetzt fehlt ihr nur noch das Wichtigste: ihre eigenen Fürimmer-Menschen, die sie lieben, ihr Sicherheit schenken und ihr zeigen, dass sie keine Angst mehr haben muss.
