Faenza Chiasso

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 9 years

Please no further inquiries! Female and male, born in the animal shelter / rather apartment living. Born 11.10.2025 BKH Neutered yes / [] no ________________________ We test each cat with a rapid test for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus, "cat AIDS", information here!) and FeLV (feline leukemia virus, "cat leukemia", information here!) and inform about the status. Here we inform about the risk of a FIP disease ("peritonitis"). ________________________ Faenza and Chiasso were born from the pregnant cat Siena, who we secured in Ebsdorfergrund-Roßberg, and grew up on a foster home for animals in Wetter. Their sister Marinella has already found a home, and Mama Siena also has one in view. The young pair is now looking forward to starting a new home. They can be visited at the foster home by appointment (contact via the animal shelter). They are very affectionate, rather cautious young cats. They meet strangers shyly, this should be taken into account during visits. Once they have gained trust, they are affectionate, and Chiasso in particular enjoys being stroked extensively. His sister Faenza is more reserved, but sweet and becomes increasingly relaxed in interactions. Age-appropriately, they are curious, playful and lively; Chiasso has already learned to fetch toys. They are looking for a shared home, snuggle a lot and like to be together, they should not be separated. Both feel comfortable as apartment cats, a secure balcony or similar would be nice, but is not essential. We wish these two sweethearts to be given a loving home without much hustle and bustle and with lifelong care! ________________________ (As of 17.05.2026) Faenza: Chiasso: (Click on the pictures to see them in full size!) The description reflects the current status, but changes or new assessments are reserved. It can always happen that an animal shows differently or develops differently due to changing circumstances, both in the animal shelter and in the new home. About Faenza Chiasso

What life with Faenza Chiasso looks like

Faenza Chiasso is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Marburg in Marburg.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Faenza Chiasso, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Faenza Chiasso?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Marburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Faenza Chiasso on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Faenza Chiasso if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Marburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Faenza Chiasso already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Faenza Chiasso isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Marburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Faenza Chiasso and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
