Faith

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Faith has found her home! Her story: Faith's name means "Faith" – and that is exactly what this gentle dog soul is searching for: someone who believes in her. Faith had to spend her previous life without protection and without a home that deserved the name. In a neighboring village, she was temporarily cared for by a few older people, but neighbors almost daily mistreated the dogs there. Eventually, the community even threatened to involve the police – and Faith had to leave. Now she is finally in safety, but the scars of that time are still visible on her. And yet: She is incredibly people-oriented. Faith belongs to the dogs who stand by the fence unbroken and whine for the slightest bit of attention. When someone comes to her, she immediately places her delicate head in their hands and looks at them pleadingly – as if to say: "Please look at me." We have promised to find her a loving home as soon as possible. For she is a winner for every family! In her lies a calm, gentle soul, waiting to finally learn what it means to be loved. Faith shows adaptability and friendliness towards other dogs. She is built for activity and would therefore be happy with active people. As she strongly seeks the closeness and protection of a person, we think she should not be left alone too often at the beginning. With patience, time, and loving care, Faith will bloom – perhaps for the first time in her life. Faith travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport. After a positive adoption, would you like to show Faith that you believe in her – and prove to her that she too deserves a loving home? A big thank you goes to SR – you have not only given Faith a name but also the chance at a new life. Stand: 14.10.

Stand: 14.10.2025

About Faith

What life with Faith looks like

Faith is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Faith, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Faith?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Faith on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Faith if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Faith already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Faith isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Faith and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
