Falco, the Bulldog mix, came to our animal shelter in July 2024 as a found dog. The approximately 7-year-old male mixed-breed dog has shown himself to be friendly and not intrusive towards his trusted people and those he walks with. He really enjoys cuddles. He already runs well on a leash and also keeps his nerves during dog encounters. He passes by fellow animals calmly without barking. Molossertype, he has a certain stubbornness and will sometimes question simple commands like "sit." Here, a certain persistence is required. Some environmental stimuli seem unfamiliar to him and he finds them scary, such as bicycles. Here, he shows a certain insecurity. During encounters with cats and squirrels, he displays hunting ambitions. The caging situation at the animal shelter is particularly challenging for Falco, as he can quickly become agitated and temporarily lose his nerves. Currently, Falco has some prostate issues, which is why he has been chemically neutered. Due to his unknown past, we do not place him in a family with children or small animals or cats. Additionally, his new home should have experience dealing with Molossers. A female dog, depending on her affinity, could be a possibility. Falco, der Bulldoggen-Mix kam im Juli 2024 als Fundhund in unser Tierheim. Der etwa 7-jährige Mischlingsrüde zeigt sich gegenüber seinen Bezugspersonen und Gassigehern bisher freundlich und nicht aufdringlich. Streicheleinheiten genießt er sehr. Er läuft bereits richtig gut an der Leine und behält auch bei Hundebegegnungen die Nerven. Er geht gelassen an Artgenossen vorbei, ohne zu pöbeln. Molossertypisch hat er einen gewissen Dickkopf und stellt gerne mal einfache Ansagen wie zum Beispiel „Sitz“ infrage. Hier ist eine gewisse Beharrlichkeit gefragt. Einige Umweltreize scheint er nicht zu kennen und findet sie beängst, so zum Beispiel Fahrräder. Hier zeigt er eine gewisse Unsicherheit. Bei Begegnungen mit Katzen und Eichhörnchen zeigt er Jagdambitionen.Die Zwingersituation im Tierheim ist für Falco nur schwer zu bewältigen, hier kann er sehr schnell hochfahren und kurzzeitig die Nerven verlieren. Aktuell hat Falco einige Probleme mit der Prostata, weswegen er vorerst chemisch kastriert wurde. Aufgrund seiner unbekannten Vergangenheit vermitteln wir ihn nicht in eine Familie mit Kindern oder Kleintieren und Katzen. Zudem sollte sein neues Zuhause Erfahrung im Umgang mit Molossern haben.
