FALCO

Mixed Breed · Male

Falco, a stray cat, was found wandering and no one came to claim him at the animal shelter. However, Falco is an extraordinary cat! He is very kind and gentle, making him a calm and very affectionate companion. We don't know what he may have experienced before arriving, but he can still be wary and afraid of human touch. He will need some time, patience, and gentleness to gain his trust. But once reassured, Falco reveals himself to be a true love! He purrs, enjoys petting, and shows all the tenderness he has to offer. Falco deserves to know the happiness of a loving home where he can finally feel safe and loved for life. And if his happiness begins with you? Visit us during our opening hours from Monday to Saturday: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM from February 1 to October 31, and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM from November 1 to January 31. You don't need to spend a fortune to make someone happy; a few tens of euros a year are enough to give his daily life a new lease on life. You can set up your sponsorship by indicating the name of the sponsored cat and your contact information. We will keep you updated on his progress, care... These animals have been waiting for a family for far too long. Adopt them and give them a better future today! Adopting a cat is a beautiful adventure that requires reflection and commitment. Each cat has its own character and specific needs depending on its age and lifestyle. In an apartment or with access to the outdoors, a cat needs a suitable space. Good nutrition is essential: croquettes, wet food, fresh water... Vaccines, sterilization, and veterinary care ensure its health. A cat loves its independence, but also the moments of complicity with its human. At Refuge Saint Roch, we help you find the cat that suits you and advise you for a successful adoption. About FALCO

What life with FALCO looks like

FALCO is an adult mixed breed cat waiting at Refuge Saint Roch (Valence) in Valence.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting FALCO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about FALCO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Refuge Saint Roch (Valence) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw FALCO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt FALCO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Refuge Saint Roch (Valence) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is FALCO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if FALCO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Refuge Saint Roch (Valence) early rather than rehoming privately; they know FALCO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
