Adopt Fallecido duno

Labrador Retriever · Unknown · Senior · 16 years

DATE OF BIRTH: 31/05/2010 BREED: LABRADOR RETRIEVER HEALTH: GOOD. Takes daily medication for epilepsy, but hasn't had any seizures in 4 years. Underwent neck hernia surgery in July and is fully recovered. Has issues with his spine, so he will always have limitations, but now he runs and enjoys life and his park walks immensely. CHARACTER: He is a very good dog. He has always lived in a family. Raised with children and loves being with them. He is very social with other dogs and also with cats. He has never been heard barking. He is very calm and affectionate. DUNO has lived his entire life in a family home. But his family's circumstances have changed dramatically, and although they have tried everything, they can no longer take care of him. That's why they asked us to find him a good home. He was in a shelter but had a hard time with the nights in his kennel. So as soon as we had the space, he moved to foster care and underwent severe neck hernia surgery. Now he has recovered, and the ideal is that he finds his permanent family. The change he has experienced over the past few months since his operation is spectacular. He runs well, is cheerful, and very good. But it will always be necessary to consider that his spine could give him problems in the future. He is very grateful and a sweetheart.

About Fallecido duno

What life with Fallecido duno looks like

Fallecido duno is a senior labrador retriever dog waiting at SOS Golden in Spain.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fallecido duno, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fallecido duno?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Golden handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fallecido duno on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fallecido duno if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Golden will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fallecido duno already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fallecido duno isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Golden early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fallecido duno and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
