Fanfara

Mixed Breed · Female

Fanfarka arrived at the foundation with her mother and siblings from Wieliczka. At first, she lived in quarantine, then moved to the shelter. At the shelter, Fanfarka, as one of the first, greeted volunteers at the door with a wagging tail and purring. She then moved to a temporary home, where she initially lived with a resident, and currently lives with a pair of other temporary residents. She is incredibly energetic and gets along well with both feline and human roommates. She values good playtime and petting. In the mornings, she often lies on her caregiver to wake them with purring, and in the afternoon, she waits at the door for a dose of affection. Among the trio of friends, she has a favorite for playtime, access to cat supplies, and shared bath time, followed by naps. Fanfarka is a very curious and versatile cat, so it’s important for her to explore every possible corner and check what her caregivers have on their plates. Since she’s met only good people in her life, she’s very trusting of strangers who appear in the home. She definitely needs feline company and is not suited for a singleton. Despite her age—about a half a year—she’s very small and retains the look and charm of a young cat. Due to her need for company, Fanfarka is currently on a monoprotein diet, which will not be required in her new home, but it’s worth considering that she has a delicate stomach. She likes both wet and dry food, eats small portions (preferring to eat more often), and special attention should be paid to the hygiene of her teeth, as she has already undergone a cleaning procedure and is prone to gum inflammation. We are looking for a non-venturing, loving, safe home for Fanfarka, with a secured balcony (if there is one) and/or windows, that will surround her with the best care. NOTICE!

Fanfarka trafiła do fundacji z mamą i rodzeństwem z Wieliczki. UWAGA! About Fanfara

What life with Fanfara looks like

Fanfara is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy in Poland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fanfara, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fanfara?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fanfara on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fanfara if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fanfara already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fanfara isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fanfara and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
