Farm/Stable Cats

Female

**PLEASE NOTE – The cat pictured is for advertising purposes only and is not an available cat. This link is to enquire about Farm/Stable cats, we may or may not have any available for adoption at the time of enquiry. Not all “farm” cats are as feral as you think, some cats enjoy independence and freedom. Some cats will tolerate having fusses on their own terms, but they are used to the freedom and would not adapt well to being kept indoors. Here at Rain, we may have cats who are feral and we will always try to send a pair or more to these environments. These kinds of cats are the cats who will be living life the happiest away from human interaction and can fend for themselves, they may just need extra food when the weather is colder and a safe dry hiding place. Once you have submitted an application and the Cattery team have reviewed it, you will be added to our “Farm/Stable Cats waiting list”. We will contact you once we have any Farm/Stable cats ready for adoption.

About Farm/Stable Cats

What life with Farm/Stable Cats looks like

Farm/Stable Cats is a adult cat waiting at Rain Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Farm/Stable Cats, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Farm/Stable Cats?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rain Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Farm/Stable Cats on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Farm/Stable Cats if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rain Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Farm/Stable Cats already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Farm/Stable Cats isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rain Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Farm/Stable Cats and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
