Adopt Fee

Female · Young · 3 years

Age: Born in May 2023. In May 2023, the street cat Armani gave birth to three kittens. As there was absolutely no space at the foster home, all of them were regularly fed and cared for outside. One day, they all disappeared, but eventually, only Mama Armani and Fee reappeared. Fee has a small disability (she is missing a foot and a portion of a hind leg), which does not in any way hinder her. However, this makes life on the street more difficult, not easier. So we decided to take Fee into a foster home. She has been neutered and vaccinated and is already feeling very comfortable in an apartment living environment. She is still rather reserved and shy, but she does play very much sometimes, and she is compatible with other cats. We are therefore looking for a home for Fee with a feline companion of a similar age and people who can give her a lot of time, be very patient, until Fee opens up – people who do not have any expectations of her at first. An open and social feline companion is particularly important. Who would like to give Fee a chance? The cats are rehomed after a nice visit and are vaccinated, microchipped, rabies tested, neutered at the appropriate age, FIV/Leukemia tested, and travel with their EU pet passport. The cats are usually rehomed in an apartment living environment, but they are happy with a secure balcony or an absolutely secure garden. The travel arrangements are currently possible (at Frankfurt Airport), and all the paperwork is in place. Have you shown interest in this cat? About Fee

What life with Fee looks like

Fee is a small young adult cat waiting at Katzenfreunde grenzenlos e.V. in Bonn.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fee, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fee?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenfreunde grenzenlos e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fee on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fee if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenfreunde grenzenlos e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fee already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fee isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenfreunde grenzenlos e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fee and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
